Back to reality

My mother in law came for two weeks and Dave was off work so I didn't have to do much of anything! It was great! All I had to worry about was getting better and taking care of Violet! Well now everyone is gone and It's back to reality for me. Violet had her two week appointment today. She is doing so good! She was 7lbs. 10.8 oz at birth and now she weighs 9lbs. I am happy that she is so healthy but sad that she won't be a baby forever. I love the knew baby stage. Oh well such is life.

We've been busy!

Violet is finally here! She decided to make a grand entry into the world on her own terms. She came the morning of March 15th. My contractions started at 2:30 in the morning and she was born by 3:55am. I kept having the urge to push and knew I wouldn't make it if I had to wait till the babysitter got here. So I told Dave to call 911 and I was wisked away in an ambulance. The hospital is literally down the street. It takes five minutes to get there. Violet decided she didn't want to wait till then and I birthed her in the ambulance! No husband, no epidural, no doctor! I still can't believe how fast it was. Regardless of all of that happened I couldn't be happier! She is a very good baby and I am so happy that I have a girl. Finally pink things, hair bows, and ruffls!

Happy Day!

We had a snow day on Monday!I know getting snow in March is kinda wierd but we got at least six inches. Caleb was off of school and Dave was home from work. We mostly just hung out. The boys wanted to go out and play in the snow so we bunddled them and they threw snow balls at Dave. I stayed in side of course. We had hot chocolate and grilled cheese sandwiches. Yummy! Aidan decided he wanted to wear underware and sit on the potty! We where so excited! Hopefully he will keep it up and we can finally get him potty trained!
