New family favorite!

I was a little worried about how the boys would be with another girl in the house. They are usually pretty rough and hyper. They love to run around, throw things at eachother, wrestle etc. You know all the things boys like to do. Since Violet has come into our lives I have seen a sensitive side come out of them. Even from Dave! He told her that she makes him talk baby talk. He didn't do that with the boys. Caleb talks baby talk to her too and is always willing to help. Aidan is proud that he is a big brother and always wants to know where Violet is. I told him the other day that he was a big boy and he said no big brother! It's even more fun since she has started cooing and smiling! She definately brings joy into all of our lives and is our new family favorite! I got video of Violet "talking" and smiling and also some pictues of Dave and Caleb loving on her. Aidan was asleep. I hope the video part works. It's pretty cute but then again I am biast!

fun at the park!

Last Saturday while Dave was sleeping(he had to work a 24hr shift)I took the kids outside to play at the park. They got bored really quickly because there were no other kids out so we went on a walk. We ended up going to two more parks. There are lots of parks near by but we always end up going to the same one that is across the street. It was a nice change. At one of the parks Caleb said he wanted leave shortly after we got there. He told me that the two boys that were there said the S word so we should leave. He said ya know the word stupid and also the SH word. I was proud of him for wanting to remove himself from those dirty words. Good job Caleb! I took pictures at the third park we went to. Also I got a picture of Calebs missing tooth. Since Aidan has to do everything Caleb does I took a picture of his mouth too.

Violets blessing day!

On Sunday May 17Th we blessed our beautiful baby girl Violet! I could not wait since I had found the cutest shoes and other accessories! Can you tell I am having so much fun with a girl?! Dave had to work a 24hr shift the day before so that left me to do everything before we had to leave. Usually he we tag team when he's home but since he was sleeping I had to do it all. It wasn't to bad though because Caleb can get himself dressed and he can help me with Aidan and also getting the church bag ready. We actually got to church early this time! We are usually walking in right as it starts. Violet started to fuss a little so I got her out of her car seat. As I did I felt something wet. I thought oh no her diaper leaked. I thought it was just pee. Boy was I wrong. It was poo! Not just any poo, orange poo and all over her dress. I only had about ten minutes before church was going to start so I enlisted the help of my good friend Linda who I saw on the way to the bathroom. She was my saving grace! She helped me carefully take off the dress and rinsed it while I changed Violets diaper. The dress was a little damp when we put it back on her but she didn't seem to mind. Other than that minor stressful situation everything else went great. Dave gave an amazing blessing and of course I cried. We took a family picture in front of a huge picture of Jesus that is hanging in our church hallway. I think it's one of my favorite photos. I hope I can get the stains out of the dress so others in our family can use it. It was a very special day! Violet was blessed with grace and a keen intelect.

Mothers Day

Caleb informed Dave that I needed breakfast in bed since it was Mothers Day! So I woke up to a breakfast of cereal and pop tarts. Dave let the boys pick and that is what they chose. Caleb told me right before he left my room, just let me know if you need anything. He is a very sweet boy. I got sung to at church by Caleb while Aidan just stood up there and frowned the whole time. I loved every minute of it. Dave made a wonderful dinner of roast and potatoes. With cheese cake for dessert. I got lots of hugs and kisses from my boys and husband. I gave some to Violet since she isn't old enough to give them to me. I had an awesome day!

My 30th Birthday!

Apparently I am 56 according to Caleb. That's the answer I got when I asked him how old he thought I was turning. My birthday felt like every other day untill Dave got home from work! He quickly whipped up a cake and dinner. He had taken the boys out shopping the night before and they where so excited for me to open presents. Caleb picked out some ready made scrapbook pages, Aidan got me some purfume, and Dave got me an ipod dock with speakers! That counted for Mothers Day too since they are a week apart. I'm not really sure how I feel about turning thirty. I don'y feel any different so I guess it's no big deal. I didn't want to exclude Violet so I took a couple pictures of her. Oh and also I wanted to wish Joslyn(my niece)a Happy Birthday! I am happy to share a birthday with her! I had a great day!

Fun with Grandma and Papa!

My parents came to visit for a week and we had lots of fun! The boys where so excited that they were coming, they could hardly stand it. We went to the zoo, swimming, shopping, Chuck E Cheese and we even went to Calebs school. The zoo had a knew baby chimp. It was hard to get a good picture. This is the best I could do. The boys got to pick out a toy and they haven't stopped playing with them since. It went by way to fast and we miss them already! Thanks for the visit and for spoiling us! Oh and thanks for the help with the much needed cleaning. Love you!

Easter!

OK so I know this post is late but I wanted to share some Easter pictures. Easter Sunday was Violets debut. It was so fun dressing her up for this! I tried to get Aidan to put on a tie but he wouldn't so I didn't make him. Although I wanted to. The boys where so excited to get Easter candy! They would have eaten it all in one day if I had them. We also dyed eggs! It was a lot of fun! They are finally at the age where they can understand what to do. I also made sure the boys understood why we celebrate Easter and that it wasn't just all about candy. I also tried to get a family picture but I couldn't find the tripod so I put the camera on top of the t.v. As you can see it didn't work very well. Oh well maybe next year.

Back to reality

My mother in law came for two weeks and Dave was off work so I didn't have to do much of anything! It was great! All I had to worry about was getting better and taking care of Violet! Well now everyone is gone and It's back to reality for me. Violet had her two week appointment today. She is doing so good! She was 7lbs. 10.8 oz at birth and now she weighs 9lbs. I am happy that she is so healthy but sad that she won't be a baby forever. I love the knew baby stage. Oh well such is life.

We've been busy!

Violet is finally here! She decided to make a grand entry into the world on her own terms. She came the morning of March 15th. My contractions started at 2:30 in the morning and she was born by 3:55am. I kept having the urge to push and knew I wouldn't make it if I had to wait till the babysitter got here. So I told Dave to call 911 and I was wisked away in an ambulance. The hospital is literally down the street. It takes five minutes to get there. Violet decided she didn't want to wait till then and I birthed her in the ambulance! No husband, no epidural, no doctor! I still can't believe how fast it was. Regardless of all of that happened I couldn't be happier! She is a very good baby and I am so happy that I have a girl. Finally pink things, hair bows, and ruffls!

Happy Day!

We had a snow day on Monday!I know getting snow in March is kinda wierd but we got at least six inches. Caleb was off of school and Dave was home from work. We mostly just hung out. The boys wanted to go out and play in the snow so we bunddled them and they threw snow balls at Dave. I stayed in side of course. We had hot chocolate and grilled cheese sandwiches. Yummy! Aidan decided he wanted to wear underware and sit on the potty! We where so excited! Hopefully he will keep it up and we can finally get him potty trained!
